About Me and This Blog

My name’s Andrew Sheridan. I’m registered as a Clinical Psychologist and Neuropsychologist in Australia; and I specialise in ADHD in both my clinical work and research. Outside work I’m a parent, husband, brother, son, and friend in no particular order; and I strongly believe that kindness to others starts with kindness to myself. Like most people I’ve had some easier patches and some rougher patches in my life, and among my various imperfections are occasionally taking things to heart, way more than occasionally being forgetful, and having an absolutely hopeless sense of direction.

I try to write this blog with humility, care, and affection; and with a recognition that I don’t have all the answers. I love my work, and being a Psychologist professionally is both challenging and rewarding. However, when reading this blog please understand that although I’m a Psychologist to a variety of people at my workplace my posts are by no means Psychological or medical advice for your individual situation. If you‘re going through a significant mental health struggle, as happens to so many of us at one time or another, I‘d encourage you to consult with your healthcare professional so as to access the appropriate support. Lastly thanks for checking out my blog – I hope you enjoy reading it as much as I enjoy writing it. Andrew, xx
